DESOPADEC: Okotete, Exco Inspect Western Zone Historic Secretariat Building In Bomadi

In what has been described as an unprecedented and historic feat in Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, the Dr. Comr. Doubra Collins Okotete led Western Zone Executive on Friday stormed Bomadi community, headquarters of Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State to inspect the ongoing Western Zone secretariat building. The Western Zone Chairman, Dr. Doubra Collins Okotete who led his Exco members and other critical stakeholders of Council in Western Zone to inspect the historic and rare project in Bomadi yesterday had heavily commended the Management of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), particularly Amb. Dr. Comr. Shedrack Agediga, Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics (DESOPADEC) for his selfless services to see the project comes to life.

Addressing the press shortly after the inspection at the site, Dr. Okotete noted that while campaigning to become the Zonal Chairman in 2021, he had told the Ijaw Youths in Western Zone that he will ensure that before leaving office, he will provide a befitting secretariat for Council in Western Zone and a bus for Council in the Zone among other important things in the Zone.

Dr. Okotete continued that he is happy a bit because by God’s grace, he is gradually fulfilling his electioneering promises to the Ijaw Youths in Western Zone.

Speaking further, one of the most celebrated Western Zone Chairman, Dr. Okotete assured the Ijaw Youths in Western Zone that with the way the contractor is handling the job, he is optimistic that in the next few months the job will be completed and commissioned on or before the next Adaka Boro day.

However, Doubra particularly commended His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) vice Presidential candidate for his love towards the Ijaw Youths in Western Zone, stressing that for empowering DESOPADEC to carry out such project for Council in Bomadi speaks volume about his love for Council in Western Zone.

Nevertheless, Doubra asserted that he will not renege in his quest to give Council in Western Zone legacies that will stand the test of time.

Moreover, Okotete had appreciated the Ijaw Youths in Western Zone for giving him the mandate to rule over the Zone, stressing that more should be expected from his led exco as they will never betray the confidence reposed on them.

Apart from his Executive members that accompanied him for the inspection yesterday in Bomadi, Comr. Ebolo Samuel, Chairman of all Chairmen, IYC Western Zone was on ground, Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill, a former Chairman of IYC in Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Chairman of Akugbene-Mein Clan and others were present to inspect the ongoing laudable historic project.

Commenting on the project, Comr. Ebolo Samuel, Chairman of all Chairmen, IYC Western Zone had commended Dr. Okotete for the project, adding that such a project has never happened in the history of Council since the Kaiama declaration in 1998, stressing that the Okotete led Western Zone Executive deserved to be commended at this point in time.

The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report that apart from celebrating the 2022 late Adaka Boro day in Warri, Western Zone for the first time in history, the Okotete led Western Zone IYC had also facilitated the procurement of an expensive bus for Western Zone from the Delta State Government.

The Okotete led Western Zone Executive has also organised an historic programme for Western Zone at the popular KFT event centre in Warri, 2022 geared toward breaching the gap between Ijaw Youths and Ijaw Political Leaders in Delta State.
