January 25th: Ancient Abadezongo Festival Of Odimodi Returns With Four Days Powerful Activities

Culture has been defined as all the ways of life including arts, beliefs and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation. Culture has been called “the way of life for an entire society.” As such, it includes codes of manners, dress, language, religion, art. This is so as the ancient Abadezongo Festival of Odimodi returns with four days powerful activities.
This was contained in a circular signed by the trio of Comr. Solomon Gbegha, Chairman of Odimodi community, Mr. Peter Ogini, Chairman Organising Committee and Amb. Dere Podoki, secretary of the organising committee on behalf of the people of Odimodi community.
In the circular, the people of Odimodi community had invited friends and members of the general public to grace the epoch making Abadezongo Festival regarded as one of the most ancient festival in Niger Delta.

According to the trio, the 2023 Abadezongo Festival is under the able and distinguished chairmanship of Snr. High Chief Bibopere Ajube alias shoot at sight.
In giving a breakdown, the circular noted that the festival will begin as from on the 25th of January 2023 until 28th of January 2023 as the grand finale of the festival.

A lot of dignitaries are expected to grace the grand finale of the festival at Odimodi which is slated on the 28th of January 2023 for which music will be supplied by one of Ijaw finest musician Abraham Young.
The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report that starting from on the 25th of January, each day comes with different activities geared towards commemorating the 2023 Abadezongo Festival with a promise from the organisers that the programme is going to be wonderful.
