…As Ogbe-Ijoh Assures APC of Bloc Votes

All Progressives Congress (APC) Stalwart in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, Engr. Jude Akpodubakaye has commended the party’s Delta South Senatorial Candidate, Hon. Joel Onowakpo Thomas for restoring electricity to Ogbe-Ijoh, recently, regretting that Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh kingdoms have been without electricity for several years under the PDP-led government.

Engr. Akpodubakaye who made the commendation after holding rounds of meetings with APC leaders in Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh kingdoms in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, decried the insensitivity of the representatives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led-administration in the area, adding that communities without social amenities have greater likelihood of feeling being socially isolated.

He therefore called on the electorates in Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh kingdoms to vote for all APC candidates from top to bottom, assuring that with the incoming APC led-administration in the state, things will definitely change as the area will experience rapid socio-economic development.

According to the APC leader, the representatives of the PDP in the area, from counsellor to local government chairman, to the State House of Assembly member, the House of Representatives Member, the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District, have rather used their positions to enrich themselves at the expense of those who gave them the mandate to represent them through the ballot box.

Engr. Akpodubakaye specifically told the people of Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh kingdoms to deliver block votes for the APC governorship candidate and Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, the Delta South APC Senatorial candidate, Hon. Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives, and that of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Clement Tekedor.

In their separate remarks, Ogbe-Ijoh APC ward chairman, Gbenebode OgbeIjoh, Hon. Deacon, Amb. Clement Tekedor Pinasene and Chief David Omare, on behalf of the entire Ogbe Ijoh kingdom, thanked Hon. Joel-Onowakpo for his kind gestures towards the community, assuring that they will deliver block votes for all candidates of the APC from top to bottom in the general elections.

While lamenting the pains the PDP administration has brought upon the local government Headquarters over the past decades, they expressed the hope that if Hon. Joel-Onowakpo could restore electricity to the community as candidate, he will do more when he eventually wins the Delta South Senate seat.

It will be recalled that residents of a social amenity-packed neighborhoods are more likely to say their community is an excellent place to live and feel safer walking around their neighborhood at night and to report greater interest in neighborhood goings-on.
