Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC) on Friday backed the decision taken by leaders of the country at the Council of State meeting held in Abuja yesterday regarding the new naira notes and deadline for the circulation of the old notes.

The Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC) threw their support via a statement signed and circulated to newsmen in Warri yesterday by the duo of Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore, alias young chief, President of the Niger Delta Youth Council and Comr. Ebikeme Shadrach Onitsha, Secretary of the group, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

According to the young global Youth Ambassador, Comr. Youkore Mamamu and his secretary, they said the new naira notes policy coupled with the scarcity of fuel and its exorbitant price have made life more difficult for Nigerians in the past months.

They particularly described the decision as the best decision ever taken by the leaders, particularly at this trying moment of the country.

It would be recalled that the leaders while keeping mute on the February 10th deadline for the circulation of the old Bank Notes, they had told the CBN President, Godwin Emiefele to print more new notes as well as allow the circulation of the old naira notes to coexist for the now.

Reacting to this development, the duo stated that the decision have in no smaller measure rescued the country from further collapsing.

Meanwhile, the young Youth leaders had tasked the CBN Governor to heed to the directives given to him at the council of state meeting yesterday by printing more new naira notes and also allow the circulation of the old notes.
