Why We are Endorsing Ejele, Ereyitomi, Pondi and others

The moment we have all long anticipated in the 2023 election is here, and quite interestingly, we as former commanders of the Defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) and members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Dreams of Niger Deltans (MADND), recently endorsed the PDP presidential candidate in person of H.E. Atiku Abubakar as well Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as the Governor of Delta State.

Following that, and indeed our endorsement for Atiku and Sheriff for President and Governor were premised on our hitherto agitation as our name clearly infers and we know how a lot would be achieved when like-minds work together, particularly those who will support and protect the laws and sanctity of our republic and of course work in tandem with the President and Governor in the central and at the State level to foster economic development, fairness, justice, equity and inclusion for all.

So, as former commanders of the Defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) and members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Dreams of Niger Deltans (MADND), we endorse Hon. (Evangelist) Michael Diden aka Ejele for Senate, in Delta South, Hon (Chief) Thomas Ereyitomi and Rt. Hon. Julius G. Pondi for House of Representatives in Warri and Burutu Federal Constituencies.

Also, we are throwing our full weight behind Hon. Emomotimi Guwor and Hon. Asupa Forteta for House of Assembly in Warri South West and Burutu North Constituencies.

Given that these politicians and candidates are from the creek and they understand the plights of the creek as it relates to good governance and tenable economic opportunities, for all, we therefore urge eligible voters to go out on election day in February 25 and March 11 to vote these candidates peacefully for the betterment of the creek.

We all must demonstrate our franchises, and in doing that we must do it peacefully without any fear of intimidation.

Also, we are using this opportunity to send a word of warning to those who are planing to mar the process to rethink because according to former President Goodluck Jonathan there is no electoral fortune that is worth the blood of any Nigerian. And indeed, it is unwise to be a political thug to cause mayhem by being an enemy to public peace.

Signed:

Josiah Oyakonghan aka Commander Oyimi, Chairman of MADND and former Warlord of MEND.

Sokere Ekpos, Secretary General of MADND and former Commander of MEND.

Freeborn Ochuko alias Pressure, PRO of MADND and former Warlord of MEND
