Niger Delta Group Charges Security Agencies To Be Vigilant Over Vote Buying

A group operating under the auspices of Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC) on Friday called on the DSS, Nigeria Police Force, ICPC, EFCC and other relevant agencies to be vigilant and go after any party that will be indulging on vote buying during the forthcoming general elections beginning from on Saturday tomorrow.

The President of Niger Delta Youth Council (NDYC) Amb. Comr. Mamamu Bene Youkore made the call earlier today in Warri while speaking on the general elections.

According to him, on no account should voters be induced financially and be intimidated by any party to vote for particular candidates.

Speaking further, Amb. Mamamu asserted that voters should be allowed to vote for their preferred candidates freelly.

Nevertheless, Bene stressed that the 2023 general elections will be a turning point for Nigeria as a country.

Meanwhile, Mamamu had also warned against political thuggery and have also admonished security agencies to ensure a free, fair, peaceful and credible polls.
