Niger Delta prominent leader, High Chief Promise Lawuru, popularly known as Ozigizaga of the universe has mourned over the demise of Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman of Daar Communications.

Chief Lawuru had in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja earlier today described late Raymond Dokpesi, owner of the African Independent Television (AIT) as a great nationalist who fought for the progress of Nigeria.

However, Lawuru asserted that Nigeria will greatly miss the ace chairman of Daar Communications, stressing that the demise Dokpesi is a monumental loss to Nigeria and the Communication world generally.

“Life is of stages time to die and a time to be born.

“Privately you were too good to me and played a fatherly rule in my private life as a father.

“Rest in perfect peace papa.” Lawuru added.

According to reports, Dokpesi, who was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) died at the age of 71 in Abuja.

A source who spoke with our correspondent revealed he died in an Abuja hospital after he suffered a stroke. This reportedly happened after the recent Ramadan fast.

The AIT boss had since then been managing his health and was placed on occupational therapy to improve his daily activities before his sudden death.
