Tantita Ambassadors Scores Tantita Security Services limited High On Fight Against Oil Theft

A Communique Issued by Concerned Past Students Leaders, Youth Leaders, Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Experts, Medical Professionals, Legal Practitioners, Human Rights and Environmental Rights Activists from across Niger Delta States at a meeting held in Warri, Delta State.

As a concerned group of Professionals and Activists which comprises of Past Students Leaders, Youth Leaders, Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Experts, Medical Professionals, Legal luminaries, Human Rights & Environmental Rights Activists with diverse expertise and professional experiences from across Niger Delta States, we met and discussed exhaustively and agreed to collaborate in order to create a platform known as TANTITA SECURITY AMBASSADORS AND VOLUNTEERS to partner with Tantita Security Services Ltd by supporting Tantita Security Services Ltd in carrying out sensitization and enlightenment campaign against Oil Theft, Pipeline Vandalization and Other Destructive activities capable of creating insecurity, economic sabotage, environmental degradation and restiveness across Niger Delta States. This was after we critically x-rayed the massive oil theft and rapid increase in pipeline vandalization in the Niger Delta for over a decade which spanned to the third quarter of 2022.The the effects of these dastard acts on Niger Delta people and the nation economy resulted in rapid reduction of daily oil production below 1million barrels per day making it impossible for Nigeria to meet the 1.8million barrels per day (bpd) production quota set by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).The destruction of the Niger Delta environment resulted to the inability to carry out meaningful agricultural activities, increase in cancerous diseases and high death rate through exposure to hydrocarbon cancerous gases uncontrollably discharged into the atmosphere, loss of job due to companies inability to meet up with their production quota.

As a concerned group we have also been following the activities and the successes recorded by Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd in the fight against pipeline vandalization, oil theft and other forms of sabotage and criminal activities in the Niger Delta area of the Nation right from September 2022 when Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced Tantita Security Services Nigerian Limited (TSSNL)- a company established by our highly respected peace loving Niger Delta Leader High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) under the Managing Director of High Chief (Engr) Kestin Pondi- an Oil and Gas Exploration/Production and Security Expert, as the most preferred company to protect the nation’s crude oil bearing pipelines and other high priced oil exploration and production facilities in the Niger Delta region. In that we have observed that, Tantita Security Services Ltd in the past few months of operations have recorded excellent performance and achieved a lot within a short period due to the state of the art intelligent gathering system, cutting-edge technology and trained experience team, making the one time volatile and environmentally degraded/devastated Niger Delta region into giving way to a more livable ecosystem devoid of environmental pollution thereby making the region to be gradually becoming a zone of peace with youths from the region now gainfully engaged and active in the day to day protection of the nation’s high priced oil facilities domiciled in their vicinities. This can also be seen as a significant improvement in NNPCL recent claim that daily production has increased to 1. 6 million barrels per day, from 937, 000 barrels per day reported in September 2022. As at May 2023 Nigeria is ranked as Africa’s largest crude oil producer, according to the latest data released by the Organization of Petroleum Producing Countries (OPEC). This has also earned Tantita Security Services Ltd an award of “2023 Most Outstanding Oil and Gas Security Company” by Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) which was powered by the African Child Foundation.

We have also decided to partner with Tantita Security Services Ltd as TANTITA SECURITY AMBASSADORS / VOLUNTEERS because, we understand that, all human beings depend on the environment in which we live. A safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment is sine qua non to the full enjoyment of a wide range of human rights which include but not limited to the right to life, security, welfare and a thriving healthy environment . “Without a healthy environment, we will not be able to fulfil or achieve our aspirations as a people”.

Therefore we are also using this medium to commend the Federal Government, NNPCL and Other Stakeholders in the Oil & Gas Industry for the award of the pipeline surveillance contract to Tantita Security Service Nigeria Ltd, which has also served as a source of empowerment for the youths of Niger Delta with engagement of over 25,000 youths who are well grounded with Niger Delta terrain and trained with the state of the art information gathering system and latest available technology to detect and combat activities of Vandals and oil theft which have led to discovery of over 60 illegal connections to the Trans-Escravos, Trans-Forcados, and other major trunk lines by Oil bunkers in Delta and Bayelsa States within the short period of operations of Tantita Security Services.

Predicated on the above, in addition to promoting activities of Tantita Security Services, we are also committed as volunteers to work closely with Youth Groups, Community Leaders, Non Governmental Organizations, Government & Private Security Services across Niger Delta States (including Ministries of Youth & Environments, and other Non Governmental Agencies) as TANTITA SECURITY AMBASSADORS / VOLUNTEERS.

Our objective as a group is to carryout effective grassroot awareness on the activities of Tantita Security Services Ltd and enlightenment campaign against Oil Theft, Pipeline Vandalization and other Criminal Activities and Violence in the Niger Delta region which are capable of creating insecurity, economic sabotage and environmental pollution, and their implications on human lives, the environment and the development of our Communities, and stressing that the activities of illegal bunkering had caused majority of our people more harm than the immediate gain of the few indulging in the illegal business. This will be able to achieve through sponsoring of Jingles and Engagement in Talk Shows in different TV & Radio Stations, Awareness Tours to Communities, Partnership Visit to Religious and Community Leaders, Organizing of Enlightenment Workshop for Community Youths and Leaders, Production of Billboards in strategic locations, Organizing Press Conferences and Road Shows branded with Branded T.Shirts and Flyers, etc. We are also committed to recruit at least 5000 TSA volunteer youths across Niger Delta to assist in promoting our objectives.
