OKYC Writes Open Letter To Governor Oborevwori, Wants Massive Appointment Of Ogulagha Indigenes

Apex youth body in oil rich Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have written an open letter to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State.

In the letter signed by Comr. Roland Pere-Ebi Dede, President general of Ogulagha Kingdom Youth Council (OKYC) on behalf of all Youths in the Kingdom, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide had particularly appealed to Governor Oborevwori to give special recognition to Ogulagha Indigenes in terms of appointment and otherwise.

According to the letter, the youths asserted that Ogulagha as a Kingdom in ward 11, Burutu Local Government Area has been producing one of the highest votes for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Local government.

Speaking further, President Dede said the people of Ogulagha Kingdom has contributed a lot politically towards the growth and development of the PDP in Delta state.

However, the letter had requested that considering the economic viability of Ogulagha Kingdom as the highest oil producing Ijaw Kingdom in Delta state, they should be given a preferential treatment.

Nevertheless, Dede continued that Indigenes of Ogulagha Kingdom should be massively engaged via the Delta State Waterways and Land Security Committee.

Moreover, the letter maintained that the youths should be considered with Special Senior Assistants appointment (SSA), Special Assistants (SA), board members, board chairman, EA and even commissioner.

Meanwhile, OKYC had asserted that the people of Ogulagha Kingdom will be grateful if the open letter is given the attention that it deserved from the Governor of Delta State.
