Acting IYC President Igetei Addresses Ijaw Nation, Sure Of Peaceful Election

Speaker of the 5th Mobile Parliament and acting President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Rt. Hon. Bob Collins Igetei has assured the Ijaws that they are working closely with the Electoral College to ensure that the 2023 IYC National Electoral Committee conducts the election peacefully.

The acting President made the remark earlier today at Ijaw House in Yenagoa earlier today via a press briefing attended by the leaderships of Western, Central Zones, Abuja and Lagos Chapters.

Other critical stakeholders that attended the meeting include principal officers of the 5th Mobile Parliament as well as National officers of the 8th NEC.
In the press briefing, President Igetei had called for calmness among Ijaw Youths, stressing that the process of electing members of the 9th NEC will begin tomorrow.

However, it would be recalled that it has been announced that the election will be holding in Yenagoa tomorrow (Saturday) to Sunday 23rd 2023.
