Dekawei Writes President Tinubu, Calls For Political Inclusion Of Delta Ijaws

Renowned South South Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Amb. John Dekawei has called on His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu to be fair to the Ijaws in Delta State.

According to Dekawei, he said it is not fair to the Ijaws in anyway that despite their economic viability and political contributions that brought President Tinubu to power, their hard works during the elections has not been given any form of appreciation and recognition via appointments.
The South South APC Chieftain had particularly called on President Bola Tinubu to correct the anormally, stressing that the Ijaws in Delta are beginning to see the continued alienation of the Ijaws as a well hatched plan to annihilate the Ijaws from the political space.
John Dekawei explained that the essence of the press release is to draw the attention of President Bola Tinubu to the fact that the Ijaws in Delta State should be carried along in his government.
“We are calling for political inclusion of the Delta Ijaws, we can’t work like elephants during elections and not benefit in times of harvest. All is not well with the Delta Ijaws in APC.
“We know that President Tinubu is an embodiment of equity, fairness and justice, we are really worried with the current state of things in Delta State that no single Ijaw son or daughter has been tipped for Federal appointment yet. We are hopeful that Mr. President will correct this political imbalance in Delta State.
“We are deeply sad that almost all the most sensitive offices has gradually gone into the hands of others.
“As your very loyal party faithful, we cannot continue like this, our call is a call for recognition, justice, fairness, equity and politcal inclusion of the Delta Ijaws in your government with juicy positions “.
“We are also using this medium to commend Mr. President for his economic and people oriented policies, we are optimistic that the Nigeria of our dream is in the making through President Tinubu” Dekawei stated.
