A youth leader in Iduwini Kingdom and an aspirant vying for the office of President in the forthcoming Odimodi and its Federated Community Youth Council election, Comr. Godspower Okpako has called on the Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to urgently commence the Ogulagha/Odimodi road project.

This was contained in a statement Comr. Godspower Okpako issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

Comr. Okpako said “despite the approval of the road project in the Okowa’s Government, it is sad that years have passed as the road remained unattended to, the road was awarded and approved by the Delta State Government under Okowa, i regretted that up till now while Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has been approving billions of nairas for projects in other parts of the state, nothing is being said or done about this important project inspite of its peculiarity. “

He noted that the Ogulagha/Odimodi road project is very important in the life of the two communities, stressing that considering the economic and political contributions of the said communities to the Nigerian state and that of the Delta State Government, Governor Oborevwori would have made concerted effort to fix the road almost immediately to mark his 100 days in office.

Godspower had charged Governor Sheriff not to play politics with the all important road project, adding that the two communities wants to see the immediate commencement and completion of the road project.

Speaking further, Comr. Godspower had called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to prioritise the road project, wondering on why the Government is finding it difficult to mobilise the contractor to site when there are other projects ongoing in other parts of the state.
