IYC Congratulates Governor Fubara On Supreme Court Victory, Hails Nigeria’s Judiciary
The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has congratulated His Excellency, Governor Siminalaye Fubara on his Supreme Court Victory.
Today for us as a council, we are extremely happy as the Supreme Court judgement is a victory for democracy and for the people of Rivers State.
However, IYC is calling on the excellent Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Siminalaye Fubara to continue to prioritise the development of the Ijaw areas by way of decentralising the development in Rivers State by paying serious attention to the development of the rural areas.
The IYC is using this medium to appreciate all Ijaw Youths, critical stakeholders of Ijaw nation and the good spirited Rivers people who voted and stood firm in support of Fubara during his trying moments.
As a council, we are very proud of our Ijaw leaders and gallant Youths. We are optimistic that Fubara will provide transformational and uncommon leadership to the people of Rivers State.
IYC sees the victory of Governor Fubara as a victory for democracy and the dawn of a more prosperous leadership in Rivers State.
Finally, it is our firm belief that Governor Siminalaye Fubara will continue to consolidate on the gains recorded by previous administrations in Rivers State and improve on it. We know that he is going to carry everyone along by operating an open door policy. Congratulations once again our dear Governor.
