The Spokesman of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill yesterday received the Western Zone Executive Council of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) led by Comr. Nicholas Tamara-denyefa Igarama on the way forward. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill who received the Western Zone Exco at his office annex in Warri had commended Comr. Nicholas Tamara-denyefa Igarama, Chairman IYC Western Zone and his Exco for kick-starting his administration by visiting stakeholders in the Zone.

While congratulating Igarama and his team, Princewill had also tasked the new exco to make deliberate efforts in strengthening the bond of unity among the Ijaw Youths in Western Zone, adding that the exco should operate an open door policy with an all inclusive leadership.

Speaking further, the Spokesman of Council asserted that he is optimistic that the Nicholas Igarama led Exco will work hard in complementing the efforts of the National Executive Council of IYC Worldwide, stressing that the struggle in negotiating a better deal for the Ijaw people must continue.

Nevertheless, Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill had also described the Tobu and mein dichotomy in Western Zone as dangerous, needless and totally unnecessary, stressing that moving Ijaw nation forward is the ultimate aim of council and not to discriminate one another, adding that proponents of such divisive tendencies must stop.

Princewill particularly charged the Igarama led Exco to prioritise the completion of the ongoing Western Zone secretariat building at Bomadi, the headquarters of Western Zone.
Yerin further charged Igarama and his team to continue the visitation to founding fathers, leaders and critical stakeholders in the Zone.

In his swift response, Chairman IYC Western Zone, Comr. Nicholas Tamara-denyefa Igarama had reiterated his commitment in addressing the issues bedeviling the Ijaws in Western Zone, stressing that he feels so excited to be welcomed by the Spokesman of Council, stressing that Western Zone is truly proud of Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill as Spokesman.

However, Igarama noted that the visitation to national leaders, founding fathers, critical stakeholders of council in the Zone will continue, promising that the coming days will be interesting in the Zone.

Meanwhile, those who were with Princewill to receive the Igarama led Western Zone Exco include National Treasurer of Council, Comr. Fanny Amatoru Peremobo-ere, Comr. Williams Ayoromiegha Jnr, Paul Obudu Kemezi and Comr. Paul Binebai.

On the other hand, Igarama was accompanied by his Exco members, Comr. Samuel Ebiarede Uyodongha, Assistant Secretary IYC Western Zone Comr. Bojan Ekesman, Treasurer IYC Western Zone, Comr. Tare Philip Magbei, Information officer IYC Western Zone, Comr. Bumi, Financial Secretary, IYC Western Zone, Comr. Yerin, student rep IYC Western Zone.

Others include Clan Chairmen Isaba, Ngbilebiri, Tarakiri, Akugbene-Mein, Operemo Clan as well as women leaders.
