The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has scored the Administrator of the Niger Delta Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Chief Dennis Otuaro PhD high in his one year anniversary, describing his leadership as progressive and full of positive impacts in the Niger Delta region.

The IYC had also expressed confidence and commended the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited and its Chairman, Chief (Dr) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo in its unprecedented strides in securing oil pipelines in the region.

This was contained in a statement signed and made available on behalf of the IYC Worldwide by Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill, Spokesman Ijaw Youth Council, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers in Warri yesterday.

The statement reads in full below:

A Press Briefing Held in Warri by the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide to Celebrate the One-Year Anniversary of PAP Boss Otuaro and the Shining Records of the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited

On this day, the 23rd of March 2025, ladies and gentlemen of the press, esteemed members of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), fellow Ijaw sons and daughters, we gather today to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Dr. Dennis Otuaro’s leadership and the sterling groundbreaking records of the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited. This gathering reaffirms our commitment to the unity and development of the Ijaw Nation, Niger Delta, and Nigeria at large.

In the face of baseless accusations and malicious attempts to tarnish the reputations of our esteemed leaders, we stand united and resolute. We will not be swayed by the petty machinations of those who seek to divide us. Our leaders, Chief (Dr.) Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Engr. Mathew Tonlagha, Vice Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, and Engr. Kestin Pondi, MD of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, have demonstrated unwavering dedication to the Ijaw cause, the Niger Delta struggle for liberation, and the sustainability of peace in the Nigerian State.

Their tireless efforts have propelled our nation forward, paving the way for a brighter future. It is evident that since Tinubu engaged the services of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, the best private security firm in Nigeria and beyond, illegal oil theft is gradually becoming a thing of the past. From the records of Tantita, the company met a dwindling oil revenue and has surpassed 2 million oil barrels per day as of February 2025. This achievement was made possible through collaboration with NNPCL and Nigerian security agencies.

Aquatic life has been restored, and our environment, previously devastated by illegal bunkering, is gradually becoming cleaner. Additionally, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited has undertaken critical infrastructure projects, such as building structures for the military and police in Delta State, as well as embarking on road projects. The company has also empowered people across the Niger Delta region.

It is an act of wickedness and jealousy for anyone or group to want to underreport or sweep the groundbreaking commendable records of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited under the carpet. Today, the Ijaw Youth Council states clearly that anyone fighting against Tompolo and Otuaro is not doing so in the interest of the Ijaw Nation and the Nigerian State but rather as enemies of progress and the Nigerian State.

The IYC has keenly followed the activities of Dr. Dennis Otuaro PhD, Administrator Presidential Amnesty Programme within the last one year, we make bold to say that his achievements has surpassed the tenures of his predecessors, like never before, he has brought the programme back to the people, his engagements with stakeholders across the Niger Delta region, both women groups and the various camp leaders constantly surely stands him out among his equals.

Otuaro’s leadership as PAP boss have seen him in this harsh economy embark aggressively on the deployment of over 2000 students on both National and international scholarships within a year, making it the highest scale of educational deployment since the inception of the programme. His tour to various universities in Nigeria for the well-being of Amnesty students is indeed one of its kind.

The PAP Administrator has also done well by training many in the areas of Aircraft maintenance management, Helicopter pilot training, pilot training, aviation engineering training, maritime training with other vision he is striving to implement in this fiscal year.

We celebrate the selflessness, commitment to economic self-determination, and empowerment of our people. We will continue to stand united, as a fortress of strength and resilience, against the forces that seek to undermine our progress. As we mark this milestone, we reiterate our commitment to unity, development, and the advancement of the Ijaw Nation.

We urge all Ijaw sons and daughters to join in this quest for a brighter future. As we celebrate this milestone, we take a moment to congratulate Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro on his glorious one-year reign as Amnesty Boss. Your leadership has been a beacon of hope for our nation, and your commitment towards peace building in the Niger Delta region.

We urge you to continue your good work, remain steadfast in the face of adversity, and keep pushing for a brighter future for our people. The appointment of Otuaro as PAP Administrator and the renewal of the Pipeline surveillance security contract of the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited by President Bola Tinubu was a strategic move, recognizing the expertise and experience of Tantita in pipeline surveillance and Otuaro in steering the affairs of the Amnesty Programme.

We also take this opportunity to debunk the evil news peddled against Dr. Otuaro, our peaceful, sacrificial, and benevolent leader, High Chief (Dr.) Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, Engr. Matthew Tonlagha, Chief Kestin Pondi, and other illustrious Ijaw sons before the international community. These baseless accusations are nothing but a desperate attempt to tarnish the reputations of our revered leaders.

As critical stakeholders in the Ijaw Nation, we reiterate our confidence in Tantita and Otuaro. We are against any move that tends to undermine our leaders. We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to completely ignore and disregard the vindictively sponsored attacks on Tantita, Otuaro, and other Ijaw leaders doing well in their various leadership positions.

The Federal Government should be wary of such unpatriotic, dangerous, and unprogressive elements and investigate the instigators of such unwarranted attacks.

Thank you.

Signed,

Amb. (Dr) Binebai Yerin Princewill
Spokesman Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide
