Itsekiris Are Tenants In Warri, We Will Defend Our Communities – Ogbe-Ijoh IYC

The Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom structure of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC ) has alleged that the Itsekiris are customary tenants in Warri. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
However, the statement had particularly stated that the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom youths will defend their communities and territories in Warri from external forces.
This was contained in a statement signed on behalf of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) in Western Zone, Comr. Moses Omare.
Omare had in the statement called on His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State to call the Itsekiri people to order, accusing the Warri South Local Government Council Chairman of aiding his Itsekiri people.
Speaking further, the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom structure of the IYC had condemned the alleged recent attack on BULOU-AMA COMMUNITY, Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State by protesting Itsekiri Youths.
The IYC Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom particularly described the Itsekiris protest as a protest in disguise for crisis, stressing that if such attacks continue, the Ijaw Youths in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom will resist alleged Itsekiris attack on peaceful and law abiding Ijaws.

A PROTEST IN DISGUISE FOR CRISIS
The leadership of the IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL (IYC), Ogbe-Ijoh Warri clan condemns in strong term the attacks orchestrated by Itsekiris on the peace loving people of BULOU-AMA COMMUNITY, Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom in Warri South LGA of Delta.
As a people we will resist any form of attack by the Itsekiri people who are our customary tenants.
Going forward we will not tolerate any form of protest or rallies by our Itsekiri tenants in any of our communities in Warri South LGA.
We are aware that the Warri South LGA chairman and the Olu of Itsekiri are the sponsors of these attacks but as Ogbe-Ijoh people we are assuring the both of them that we have what it takes to resist any form of attacks and we will not be intimidated by any LGA chairman.
We are calling on His Excellency Gov Sheriff to caution the Warri South LGA chairman for him not to aid his tribes men.
