Communities in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have passed a vote of confidence on His Excellency, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, Member Representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives and Chairman House Committee on South South Development Commission and Amb. Dr. Shedrack Agediga, Chairman Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board for delivering effective leadership with unprecedented development in the Kingdom.

The vote of confidence was passed by leaders of the various communities in Ogulagha Kingdom via a poltical move spearheaded by Rt. Hon Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency and Chairman South-South Development Commission while on a tour to orient his people on his latest poltical decision in joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Pondi who used the opportunity to also highlight some of his developmental achievements in Burutu Federal Constituency, Ogulagha Kingdom and the Niger Delta at large received commendations from the communities even before he could even conclude his speech.

It was like a drama when the constant chants among indigenes of the various communities in Ogulagha Kingdom echoed that “Where Pondi Go We Follow “.

Rt Hon Julius Pondi, Member Representing Burutu Federal constituency & Chairman, House committee on South-South Development Commission on a Tour to Orient His Constituents in Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

On the 8th June 2025, The third term member of the House of Representatives and the pioneer Chairman of South-South Development Commission, haven officially defected from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to the All progressive Congress (APC) on the floor of the National Assembly on the 6th May, 2025, In order to intimate and orient his followers and constituents of the new political movement from PDP to the APC, Hon Julius Pondi decided to tour his immediate Communities and kingdom (Ogulagha)

On Sunday 8th June, 2025, Rt Hon Julius Pondi MHR, and members of his team including Dr Shedrack Agediga, Chairman, Delta Bursary and scholarship Board and other prominent members were received by his home community leadership led by Mr Jeremiah Isayah (Chairman, Yokiri community) and his counterpart Mr Believe Anumu (Chairman, Sokebolou community) and people of Sokebolou/ Yokiri communities in Sokebolou Modern TownHall, where Hon Julius Pondi, Dr Shedrack Agediga and Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori were applauded and a vote of confidence was moved and passed for their sterling leadership.

10am, Monday 9th June, 2025, the train of Rt Hon Julius Pondi moved to Obotobo 1 Community and they were well received by the Chairman Mr Ebiware Owolo, the Exco & community leadership, and a good turn out of people received Hon Julius Pondi and his team.

12pm, same day, The Team also advanced to Obotobo 2 Community where the entourage was welcomed with praise singing and dancing Community women. The Chairman Mr James Oyibo, Chiefs were full of praises, haven appreciated Hon Julius Pondi for projects already sited they also seize the medium to appeal for completion of their community TownHall, provision of Borehole water & Construction of internal road.

Finally, 3pm, The encourage moved to Ogulagha Community TownHall, where Okuntu, Osain, Obuguru, Youbebe, Ogulagha and other adjoining communities has converged, the team was graciously received and lavishly entertained. It was an electrifying gathering, which the people unanimously support the political decisions of Hon Julius Pondi, Dr Shedrack Agediga and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

The exercise was indeed full of applause and recounts of different developmental projects that has been attracted by the duo Hon Julius Pondi & Dr Shedrack Agediga, not only to the Communities in Ogulagha kingdom but across the 78 communities in Burutu LGA.

The general slogan of the orientation in every community visited is that ‘Where Hon Julius Pondi Go’… ‘We Follow’

They also unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Hon Julius Pondi, Dr Shedrack Agediga and Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for their sterling leadership.
