Death Of Tito Zuokumor, Sad, Shocking, Monumental Loss To Ijaw Nation – IYC

The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide has described the death of Mr Tito Ware-ebi Zuokumor as sad, excruciating, shocking and a monumental loss to Ijaw nation.
This was contained in a statement signed on behalf of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide by its Spokesman, Amb (Dr) Binebai Yerin Princewill, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
The statement had particularly noted that the IYC and indeed Ijaw nation received news of Tito Zuokumor’s death with rud shock on Thursday 4th of September 2025 morning, adding that Ijaw nation and Niger Delta at large have truly lost a giant star and a strong voice.
However, IYC had through the press statement recalled that Tito Zuokumor had made huge sacrifices in ensuring that the struggle for a better Ijaw nation comes to limelight as he has used both his contacts and personal resources in building, grooming young Ijaw sons and daughters.
Zuokumo’s struggle in fighting and negotiating a better deal for the Ijaws including contributing his quota in strengthening the IYC cannot go unnoticed.
Today following the demise of Tito Zuokumor, the Ijaw nation is in deep mourning, the Ijaw people have truly lost a great hero and a strong voice, until his death, he was a becon of hope to our people as his doors and wise counsel on the way forward was open to both the young and old who came in contact with him.
While it is painful to lose Tito Zuokumor at this point in time that his services and wise counsel are needed the most in Ijaw nation, our condolence goes to the Zuokumo family, Ojobo community and Operemo Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
