Civil Servants in Delta State have continued to shower encomiums and prayers on Governor Okowa of Delta State as they moved into the magnificent new secretariat complex in Asaba, the state capital.

Some of them in a chat with journalists on a condition of anonymity explained that in the history of the country, “there has never been this kind of palatial edifice built for workers.”

An elated Mr Nwanbueze Okoro, said ” Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa is the messiah of our time who came to build a lasting legacy for us workers. Generations yet unborn will live to appreciate this.”

Mr Ogana Freeborn added that ” while this gigantic edifice was going on, many of us never knew what is here. Now that we have packed in, we can now fully appreciate the wonders of God through Okowa for Delta workers. May he live longer for us all. He is good.”

“He has changed the narratives of Delta State workers who will increase the tempo in the discharge of their official responsibilities because of the wonderful working environment,” he added.

He appealed to the contractors in charge of the complex to do all they could in conjunction with the workers to keep the facilities safe so that for a longer time to come, generations of workers who would joining the service would continue to benefit from the legacy.

Mr Ogana also appealed to the governor to construct a safe pedestrian crossing at the Mariam Babangida Junction by the Asaba-Benin express Way to curb motor accidents at the point since traffic would be heavier now that the secretariat had been opened for use.
