According to reports reaching the news desk of The Liberator Newspaper, former president Goodluck Jonathan has narrowly escaped assassination from unknown gunmen in his country home, Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The source who did not want his name to be mentioned in print noted that the heavily armed unknown gunmen suspected to be assassins stormed Goodluck Jonathan’s residence around 2Am in the morning few hours the former President had left for Yenagoa.
Our source who pleaded anonimity stressed that the assination attempt is obviously politically motivated, adding that it was the hand work of God that made the former President to leave the house before the shooting.
However, the source continued that while the hoodlums tries to gain entrance into Goodluck Jonathan’s residence, security operatives open fire on them and ultimately repeal them and kills three of the unknown gunmen in the process while lossing one security personal attached to the former President.
This is a developing story, more details later.
