Odimodi: NAOS, NGO combine to organise education programme to mark October 1st

Students under the auspices of National Association of Odimodi Students ( NAOS) in collaboration with Perez Intellectual Foundation, (PIF) will hold an education programme tagged ” Invest in Education ” as part of events marking this year’s October 1st celebration at Odimodi community in Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Information released by the organisers of the event shows that the programme will hold on October 1st at Eluwei playground Odimodi, begining from 10 in the morning.

The information further stated that many educational and other extra curricular activities will feature at the programme.

Some of the programmes lined up for the day include Quiz competition for secondary schools, spelling competition for primary schools, lectures, drama presentation, poem, cultural display, football match involving home base stars versus urban stars, as well as traditional wrestling, and a host of other activities lined up to spice up the event.

The information further said all intending participants are advised to converge at Miller waterside which is the point of departure.

The programme is powered by Odimodi community, Odimodi women forum, Odimodi youth movement, Odimodi graduate association, Pondy Health/ Education foundation, PS integrated services global, Ado marine, and Mary Arere foundation.

Meanwhile, president of the National Association of Odimodi Students, NAOS Comr. Obaila Werinene Collins had called on the general public to grace the occasion, stressing that the programme would be interesting and wonderful as all arrangements towards hosting guests are already under control.
