….Says Governor Okowa has appointed political technocrats

A Delta State based renowned Peace and Environmental Activist, Comrade Mulade Sheriff has Congratulated all political appointees particularly Mr. David Edevbie, Mr Chiedu Ebie, and Rt.Hon.Funkekeme Solomon for their well-deserved appointment as Chief of Staff, Secretary to the State Government, Senior Political Adviser respectively as well as the newly appointed Commissioner nominees and Special Advisers to the Governor.

The Peace Advocate and National coordinator of a foremost NGO, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) who made the commendation in Pretoria, South Africa where is attending a conference on Africa Indigenous Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) said that it is time to move Delta state forward devoid of political party affiliation and ethnic.

“I strongly believe that going by their political experience as human resource experts and seasoned administrators with their wealth of experience in government, they will make immense and significant contributions to the development of Delta state”, he said.

The Activist added that; “It is worthy of note that the appointees should not see their appointment as self-empowerment but to give maximum support to Governor Okowa to enable him deliver on his electoral promises to Deltans as well as to develop our communities”.

The CEPEJ boss also used the medium to commend Governor Okowa for identifying technocrats and competent hands to handle affairs of the state particularly the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Chief of Staff and Senior Political Adviser and the Commissioner nominees.

Comrade Mulade assured Governor Okowa of Riverine Communities total support to his administration and all political appointees to attract the needed development, saying that; “And we are very proud to be associated with you as well as to ensure peaceful Environment within the State”.

“It is imperative to state that Riverine Communities of Delta State are committed to providing an enabling environment in order to create a peaceful altmosphere for sustainable development in the State”, he said.
