Hon. Stanley Garry
A group operating under the auspices of Delta Ijaw Political Mechinaries has charged the Deputy Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo Agege to get ready to contest the 2023 Delta State Governorship election.
This was made known to newsmen in Abuja recently by the national president of the group, Hon. Stanley Garry, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.
The group had particularly described the Deputy Senate president as “Mr. Project Influencer”, stressing that Senator Omo Agege influenced the Okwagbe / Ayakoromo road through NDDC, a project the group had described as a legacy the people will never forget in a hurry.
However, Hon Garry had noted that there is no going back on the quest to support Sen. Ovie Omo Agege in becoming the next Governor of Delta State come 2023.
“Deltans are earnestly asking you to contest because your ambition to rule Delta state is predicated on transformational plans for the state. It is a genuine ambition borne out of democratic sincerity, and the group gives it 100% nod to this dream awaiting fruition in 2023. He who plans early, plans to win victoriously.
“As a former SSG, Principal Secretary, and a technocrat to Delta state, you have all the technical experience and expertise to build star projects in every senatorial districts that will stand the test of time and lift Delta state to a state of excellence.” Hon. Stanley had stated.
Meanwhile, it would be recalled that Hon. Stanley Garry was a staunch member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State who recently defected with his followers to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Mr. Garry had in a media chat hinted The Liberator Newspaper that his defection has opened the door for more Ijaws in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State to embrace the APC, stressing that the Peoples Democratic Party will crumble before 2023.
