Praises Tompolo, Oporoza Community, Eleco, Zonal leaderships

Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) under the aegis of Western Zone Clan Chairmen Forum has congratulated newly democratically elected national executive members of IYC Worldwide on their electoral victories in the just concluded election at Oporoza in Gbaramatu Kingdom, Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta. 

The 23 Clan Chairmen in Western Zone conveyed their congratulatory message to newsmen in Warri yesterday via a statement signed by the trio of Comr. Rachael Fuludu, chairman of all chairmen in Western Zone; Comr. Amaikiye Ekaye, adviser as well as Comr. Otus Kelly, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspaper.

The statement while congratulating the new national officers had praised high Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo for ensuring that the election was conducted in Gbaramatu Kingdom peacefully without any form of disagreement. 

The trio of Fuludu, Ekaye and Kelly lauded the Barr. Bekewei Ajuwa led 2020 Ijaw Youth Council Electoral Committee for conducting a free, fair and credible election for the entire Ijaw nation, stressing that the clan chairmen forum in Western Zone  is proud of him for conducting a transparent election. 

To the people of Oporoza community, traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom, the clan chairmen appreciated them for the peaceful hosting of the elective convention, adding that the Ijaw nation will continue to use Oporoza as a reference point when talking about the most peaceful election in the history of IYC. 

They continued by thanking the zonal leaderships for cooperating with the electoral Committee in ensuring a peaceful election in council, adding that the Western Zone Clan Chairmen Forum is proud of them. 

The Clan Chairmen Forum in Westen Zone had also pledged  their supports to work closely with the Comr. Peter Timothy led 8th national executive council of IYC Worldwide. 

Meanwhile, the group while congratulating the new national exco had particularly hailed the elected officials from Western Zone for their victories, expressing optimism that the said officials will not dissapoint the zone in the 8th IYC national executive council.
