​Just In: Burutu Divisional Police, YCRI Postpones Peace Programme To Tuesday October 13

Regrets inconveniences postponement might have caused dignitaries

The Nigeria Police Force, Burutu Divisional Headquarters in conjunction with Youth and Conflict Resolution Initiatives (YCRI) and Burutu Community, have earlier today postponed its one day peace seminar/town hall meeting to Tuesday 13th of October 2020 at Burutu community. 
It would be recalled that the programme was earlier scheduled to commence tomorrow, Wednesday 7th of October 2020 at Burutu community, fondly refered to as the Island of no regret. 
The notice of postponement was signed by the tro of DSP LAWRENCE LAWALA,  DPO Burutu Divisional Headquarters, Pst. Alex Kenerekedi, national coordinator of Youths and Conflict Resolution  Initiatives (YCRI) and Comr. Pondy Ebipadeowei Stainless, chairman of Burutu community, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers. 



The trio in the statement regretted the inconvenience the postponement might have caused members of the general public,  stating that the postponement was occasioned by circumstances beyond human comprehension as it promised to make it up bigger, better and stronger. 
They however stressed that the programme will take place on Tuesday the 13th of October 2020 at the Council Pavilion, Burutu Community, Headquarters of the Local Government Area of Delta State. 
The Liberator Newspapers can report that the theme for this all important one day programme is tagged: “Enabling a crime free society”, adding that a fire brand lecture hovering around the theme will be delivered by Niger Delta foremost academic scholar, Prof. Benedict Binebai of the Niger Delta University (NDU), Bayelsa State. 
The statement further maintained that the programme will take place on Tuesday  13th of October 2020, by 10: 00Am prompt, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Civic Pavilion, New Wharf, Burutu town, Delta State. 
The organisers had reiterated that all arrangements remains intact as everything has been put in place to host as many as possible dignitaries that may be turning out for the occasion, stressing that the general public and all lovers of peace are invited to grace the anticipated historic occasion at Burutu town. 
Meanwhile, The Liberator Newspapers can report that there is a section of the programme set aside for the presentation of awards to people that have worked hard for the sustainability of peace in their various spheres and domains.
