A community leader in Odimodi, Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State, Comr. New-world Endoro has called on His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to look into the political alienation and sidelining of the community in his administration despite working hard for his victory.

Comr. Endoro stressed that just the way others worked for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which brought about the overwhelming victory of Governor Okowa, he said the Governor has been making series of appointments from people in various communities but regretted tthat  the story of Odimodi and Iduwini Kingdom is a different case.

The Community leader made the assertion via a statement issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers.

Newworld had called on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to adequately compensate the Odimodi people by appointing them into various offices in his government, adding that until that is done, his people are not feeling his government the way it ought to be.

He particularly described the development as strange on why indigenes of Odimodi should not be appointed into Government massively either as SSAs, SAs, Delta State Land/Waterways Security Committee , EA, Board members and other offices in the  government.

However, Comr. Endoro stated that a man must and should eat after working, noting that the Odimodi man has been left to wallow without commensurate appointments after working hard with others to ensure the victory of Okowa.

“We are not asking for too much, all we want is political inclusion of the Odimodi man, we have worked for the PDP which brought our Governor to power back to back, others across the state are benefiting but our case is a different story, we should be recognised and be treated well as humans.

“It is our humble appeal to your Excellency that our plea for political recognition and inclusion in the scheme of things be urgently considered for the purpose of fairness and equity “. Comr. Newworld Endoro stated.
