​Group Alerts Okowa Ahead Of Looming Protest In Asaba Over Negligence 

...Says we are coming to die in government house come November 11th 2020.

A pro Ijaw group under the aegis of Delta Ijaw Youth Movement (DIYM) has alerted His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on a looming protest in Asaba, capital of the state. The Liberator Newspapers can report. 

The group made their position known to the Governor via a protest letter sent to the Governor,  copies  of which was made available to newsmen in Warri. 

In the protest letter signed by Comr. Paul E. Ebikedoumene, Spokesman, Delta Ijaw Youth Movement (DIYM) maintained that the planned protest is occasioned by the ceaseless neglect of the group after delivering politically for the Governor. 

DIYM stated that there is no going back on the protest as all arrangements of mobilising their members across the state via meetings is on top gear, stressing that the protest is slated to commence on the 11th of November 2020 at the Government House, Asaba. 

Comr. Paul in the statement stressed that they are fully prepared for any eventuality.

Your Excellency,

Letter of Notice to carry out Mass Protest Against Your Government.
 
We the entire teeming  Members  of the Delta Ijaw Youth Movement  write you this letter with pain in our  hearts that we have exhausted our patience and we are left with no option than to come and die at the front of Government House, Asaba.

You have succeeded in using us, now you want to  dump us and we are not going to accept that, you know the sacrifice we did to ensure there was peace in your second term election, but you choose to treat us as insignificant people. Is this the way you want to reward us? Sir,  we are highly disappointed at you.

We will use all MEANS NECCESARY TO CARRY THIS PROTEST AGAINST YOU IN ASABA. We know you will use the security agencies in the State to arrest us but we want to assure you that we will never be intimidated by any form of arrest. We worked for you and it is our right to benefit from the government like every other appointee.

To this end, we have resolve to Mobile all our structures to carry out mass protest against you in front of government House, Asaba on November 11th, 2020.
