Former Niger Delta Ex-agitator, Mr. Anthony Ekpelagha has called on members of the general public particularly the people of Diebiri/Batan in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State to ignore and completely disregard rumour making round that he was given money by the Nigerian Gas Company.

Mr. Anthony Ekpelagha made the assertion earlier today in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State while reacting to the rumour via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers.

The former warlord noted that the rumour has been flying and making round within the last few days, stressing that the need to set the records straight has become very crucial as he did not receive any dime from the said company.

He continued that the news has become more worrisome as highly placed personalities within the area has begun to call him from all corners with a view to authenticate the authenticity of the said information.

Ekpelagha said as a Niger Delta Ex-agitator he is yet to eat from the fruit of the struggle, adding that he is still struggling to make ends meet as he is yet to get anything from any of the companies operating in his domain including the Nigerian Gas Company operating in Warri.

Meanwhile, speaking further, Mr. Anthony had warned those behind such untrue allegation to desist from such act  as it will do them no good.
