2023: Delta South PDP Exco Visit Pondi, Vows To Consolidate On Party’s Dominance
…As Pondi commends Okowa’s management of PDP in Delta State, speaks on other issues

Ahead of 2023, Chairman of the Delta South Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his exco members have on Monday 21st of December 2020 visited Hon. Julius Pondi, member representing Burutu Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Abuja with a pledge to strengthen and consolidate on the dominance of the party.
In his speech during the visit at the residence of Hon. Pondi, the Delta South PDP Chairman, Chief (Dr) Julius Takeme (JP) had noted that as 2023 draws nearer, the party under his leadership has resolved not to leave any stone unturned.
He noted that his Exco have decided to embark on a consultative visit to all Federal House of Representatives members in Delta South, senator representing the senatorial district, House of Assembly members, Council Chairmen, Commissioners as well as critical stakeholders in the senatorial district.
Dr. Takeme announced to the bewilderment of the federal lawmaker and his entourage that the Delta South PDP Exco decided to visit Hon. Julius Pondi to begin the consultation visit in the Delta South Senatorial District, stressing that the party is very proud of him and his legislative sagacity in the National Assembly.
Chief Julius Takeme said such consultative visit to the aforementioned stakeholders in the senatorial district have become necessary as the gains from fraternizing on the way forward among key stakeholders cannot be overemphasized.
However, Takeme while thanking Hon. Julius Pondi for massively hosting the Delta South PDP Exco maintained that the lawmaker should not hesitate to call upon them whenever he has any programme that requires their supports.
In his reaction, Hon. Julius Pondi had particularly appreciated Chairman of the Delta South PDP and his exco for deeming it feat to begin their consultative visit with him, stressing that he feels so honoured.
Speaking further, Hon. Julius Pondi also described His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as a great manager of the party in the state, adding that the Delta State PDP had continued to be more peaceful under the reign of Governor Okowa.
Pondi while lauding the Governor on his developmental strides across the state, asserted that Okowa is leaving behind lasting legacies that will stand the test of time in Ijaw areas and beyond.
Meanwhile, the young productive lawmaker stressed that he is optimist that the Julius Takeme led Deita South PDP will continue to maintain the dominance of PDP in the senatorial district, adding that the party Chairman is a man with proven leadership qualities that is known for his delivery capacities.
He continued that he is solidly behind the Delta South PDP under Takeme anytime, anyday and anywhere whenever the need arises to give his support, saying “We shall continue to rally round you for our party to maintain its dominance come 2023, you are doing well, it shows the voracious knowledge you have on party affairs “.
It would be recalled that the Delta South PDP Chairman was accompanied by majority of his exco members.
