Warri Hosting: Mamamu Jnr Preaches Unity, Love Among Niger Delta Youths

A Niger Delta Youth Leader, Comr. Mamamu Youkore Jnr on Saturday while hosting youth leaders from different Ijaw Kingdoms and from the Urhobo axis in Delta State have stated that peace and unity among Niger Delta Youths remains a major factor on the way forward for the region. Comr. Mamamu Youkore Jnr, popularly known as young Chief on New Year Day 1st of January 2022 while addressing the press during the meeting had admonished Niger Delta Leaders to try as much as possible to live behind lasting legacies to the younger generation by prioritising the development of the region when given the opportunity to man any agency in the country. 

However, Comr. Bene who hosted the youth leaders in his Warri residence  also charged Niger Delta Youths to emulate the good leadership virtues of some outstanding leaders of the region, stressing that as youths they must not fail leaders and people of the region. 

He continued that it is unity and pure love among youths of the region that can bring unprecedented progress to the region and her people, adding that the future of Niger Delta is now in the hands of her youths. 

Speaking further, Mamamu Jnr had charged youths in the region to build themselves in such a way that they can’t be used as political thugs and otherwise by certain politicians in the region. He said youths in the region should not take the back seat as he stressed on the need for the youths to take responsibility come 2023 general elections by playing active role that will change the narratives. 

The groups that paid the new year visit to Comrade Bene Mamamu’s Warri Residence are the youth leadership from Okere Urhobo Kingdom led by its President Comrade Brume Eyekpeme and some of his exco members, Amb. Edwin Aken, SA to the Governor of Delta State the Egbema Youth Council EYC leadership led by its President General Comrade Ebidouwei M Miyenpirigha, his National Public Relations Officer PRO Comrade Governor Ekpokeme and others, as well as the Ijaw Youth Council IYC Ogbe Ijoh Warri Kingdom led by its Chairman Ambassador Victor Akemotubo and the IYC Ogbe Ijoh Warri Kingdom Secretary Comrade Etimadimene Francis

Others are the Isaba Youth delegation led by its President Prince Alphonsus Donokoromo, that of the Ogbe Ijoh Warri Kingdom Youth President Comrade Etimadimene James, the Deputy Leader of the Warri South West legislative arm of government Honourable Governor Stanley, the councilor representing Ogbe Ijoh ward 1 in the Warri South West legislative arm of government Honourable Barrister Jeffrey Oromoni amongst others.
