Ijaw Group Endorses Omo-Agege For Delta 2023 Governorship, Give Reasons

By Ndu Samuel

A group under the auspices of Ijaw Elite Force (IEF) have endorsed His Excellency, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria and Delta 2023 All Progressives Congress  (APC) Governorship candidate ahead of the 2023 Governorship election in Delta State.

The endorsement was made earlier today by Comr. Saturday David, National President of the Ijaw Elite Force via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Comr. David noted that the decision to throw their weight behind Sen. Omo-Agege is owing to the fact that the leadership of PDP in the state, particularly the Okowa led administration have failed to address the question of underdevelopment in the Ijaw areas of the state.

No Ijaw community either Riverine  or Urban is developed under Governor Okowa, he promised us Ayakoromo  bridge but till now nothing to write about it, we the IJAW people of Delta state begged Okowa through Amb. Chief Sheriff Mulade to give the Ijaws of Delta  State at least one university or polytechnic but he refused.

“The Delta state school of marine technology, Burutu is still underdeveloped, even accreditation is a problem, student who graduated from Higher National deploma (HND) could not even partake in NYSC  service. With all these and many more, how will anyone say Governor Okowa have tried for the Ijaw people in Delta State?

“Now he is ready to hand over  power to another Urhobo man in PDP instead of the Ijaws. We the IJAW ELITE FORCE encourage and advice all Ijaws in Delta state to get ready to vote OMO-AGEGE For Governor come 2023.”

Comr. Saturday noted that a vote for Omo-Agege is a vote for the proper liberation of Delta State, stressing that the Ijaws and all in Delta State will smile under the reign of Omo-Agege as Governor of the state come 2023 if elected.
