Jubilation Rocks Asaba, Burutu North As Asupa Receives Certificate Of Return
There was massive jubilation yesterday in Asaba, the capital of Delta State and communities in Burutu Local Government Area as Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta received his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) return certificate for Burutu North, Delta State House of Assembly ahead of the 2023 assembly election for the constituency. Members of his political dynasty and his large followers across Burutu and Delta State could not hold back their joy as Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta joyfully received his return certificate yesterday at the Delta State secretariat of the PDP.
Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta, popularly known as the political octopus in Delta State, the bulldozer had while briefing the press shortly after receiving the certificate of return stated that what has happened yesterday is another step towards victory come 2023.
The Delta State House of Assembly member for Burutu North had maintained that power belongs to the Lord Almighty, stressing that he is more than ever committed in ensuring that he continue to deliver effective representative and contribute his quota in the infrastructural development in Burutu North.
Forteta had assured the people of Burutu North that the constituency will be more prosperous in the forthcoming political dispensation in 2023, stressing that he has never disappointed his people in leadership hence he will continue to do what is best for his people.
However, it would be recalled that Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta was a former transition committee chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, he later became elected chairman of Burutu Local Government Council before proceeding to become Delta State commissioner for youth development.
Following his services, he was later appointed as the Delta State commissioner for Urban Renewal, a position he handled before now serving as the member representing Burutu North, Delta State House of Assembly as a first timer with political appointments and developmental projects in Burutu North to his credit.
It would be recalled that the PDP yesterday presented certificate of return to all the state constituency PDP Candidates at the party state Secretariat.
