Apex body covering all human rights activists of Ijaws in Delta State operating under the auspices of Delta Ijaw Comrade Community (DICC) has congratulated Niger Delta most respected former warlord, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo on his pipeline security Surveillance contract awarded to him by the Federal Government of Nigeria

While congratulating Tompolo on the pipeline security contract, the Delta Ijaw Comrade Community had issued a strong warning to the amalgamated Area Youths to keep clear from Issues regarding Tompolo whom they described as a blessing to the region.

The warning was contained in a press statement personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri by Amb. Comr. Binebai Yerin Princewill, president general of the Delta Ijaw Comrade Community (DICC), a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

DICC noted that the country is already facing a lot of insecurity challenges than for reputable youth groups like the amalgamated Arewa Youths to be making divisive statements that are capable of plunging the country into another round of trouble.

However, Amb. Binebai had lauded the Federal Government of Nigeria for doing the right thing by giving the pipeline surveillance security contract to Tompolo, stressing that the move is one of the best decision ever made by the Federal Government of Nigeria under Buhari.

Speaking further, President Princewill had on behalf of the Ijaw intellectual group expressed optimism that Tompolo will handle the job to the bewilderment of all in Nigeria, stating that Tompolo is not new in such job.

The statement asserted that the barrages of congratulatory messages and the movement of Niger Delta stakeholders and former warlords to Oporoza, headquarters of Gbaramtu Kingdom in Delta State for briefing is an eloquent testimony to show that Tompolo is more than capable and ready to deliver on the job.

Meanwhile, Binebai had called on sons and daughters of Niger Delta, particularly the Ijaws to be more united, stressing that there should be no internal bickering.

Nevertheless, the Delta Ijaw Comrade Community had in the statement noted that they are hopeful that all known structures and personalities will be carried along in the process.

Moreover, the group also hailed Tompolo for the stakeholders meetings so far.
