Pipeline Contract: Be Patient With Tompolo, Everyone Will Be Carried Along – Johnny
A critical stakeholder in the Niger Delta struggle for resource control and self determination, High Chief Mosco Johnny, renowned Niger Delta activist has called on faceless militant group in Rivers state to remain calm as Tompolo will no doubt carry everyone along.
The Niger Delta activist particularly urged the militant group to be patient with Tompolo as he truly meant well for the Niger Delta region and her people, stressing that the call has become necessary owing to recent happenings in the region.
Chief Mosco Johnny made the call via a statement he personally signed and issued to newsmen in Warri yesterday, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
According to him, the current state of things in Nigeria and Niger Delta do not need such threats, adding that the threats are completely unnecessary as Tompolo is a leader that knows what to do.
However, he noted that as a critical stakeholder in the Niger Delta struggle for resource control and emancipation, he will always speak on the sustenance of peace in the region, stressing that this is the time for all right thinking persons in the region to come together in unity to support Tompolo in securing the pipelines.
Nevertheless, Chief Johnny had while congratulating Tompolo on the award of the pipeline surveillance security contract by the Federal Government of Nigeria noted that he believes in the capacity of Tompolo to deliver fully on the job, adding that the job is not new to him.
Speaking further, Johnny had also appreciated the Federal Government of Nigeria for awarding the contract to Tompolo, stressing that they have done the right thing by giving it to him as he will deliver fully.
Meanwhile, Johnny asserted that Niger Delta will be great if peace is given a chance, maintaining that Tompolo has worked hard and has done a lot of sacrifices over the years to deserve such contract and even more in Nigeria.
