Ogbe-Ijoh/Aladja Boundary Dispute: Call Jite, Taiye To Order Now, Youths Tell Okowa
Youths of Ogbe-Ijoh community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State have called on His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to call the duo of Hon. Jite Brown, Chairman of Udu Local Government Area and his counterpart in Warri South West Local Government Area, Hon. Taiye Duke to call them to order over questionable roles they are playing in the Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh boundary matter.
The Ogbe-Ijoh youths made the call yesterday via a statement signed by the President of Ogbe-Ijoh Youth Council, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.
The statement had particularly condemned the destruction of houses in Ogbe-Ijoh community by the boundary committee instituted by Governor Okowa, stressing that they are beginning to lose confidence on the committee.
The statement reads below:
ALADJA-OGBE-IJOH BOUNDARY DEMARCATION, OGBE-IJOH YOUTH COUNCIL URGES OKOWA TO CALL HIS BOYS TO ORDER
-Says it is loosing confidence on the committee setup by the state government
The Ogbe-Ijoh Youth Council, has condemned demolition of houses in Ogbe-joh town by committee that was setup by His Excellency Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
Gov. Okowa, with utmost respect, the committee you setup for the boundary demarcation has totally deviated from the agreed line of demarcation. Hence, as a Kingdom we have therefore loosing confidence on the committee that are headed by the 2 LGA chairmen (Hon. Jite Brown, Udu LGA, who is from Aladja community and Hon. Taiye D. Tuoyo, Warri South West LGA).
We recall how Hon. Jite Brown has allegedly shown interest of this age-long crisis between Aladja and Obge-Ijoh communities simply because he is an Aladja son and now he is conniving with his collegue, Hon. Taiye to perfect their long term agenda in making sure Ogbe-Ijoh goes into extinction.
Recently, we noted how our houses were demolished by the committee of the two local government chairmen, which is clearly a flagrant disregard of the agreement of the boundary adjustment.
So, we call on Delta State Government led by, H.E Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to call his boys to order to desist from their devilish act and restructure the building demolished by them to avoid unnecessary tension.
Ogbe-Ijoh people are peace lovers who have been committed to giving peace a chance, thereby supporting the demarcation exercise. So, seeing this kind of barbaric act, befalling us, will provoke our people not to remain in silent anymore from such a brazen oppression by the boundary adjustment committee.
