How Asupa Dolled Out Cash, Distributed Food Items To Flood Victims In Burutu North

The member representing Burutu North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta has once again responded to the calls of constituents who are currently suffering from the daily increasing flood.



The current level of the flood which is dangerously ravaging the state has melted untold hardships of hunger and a stampede to the socio-economy of the people across the nation. According to reports, this year’s flood has already surpassed the 2012 flood level.

It’s one key policy and leadership functionality of Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta to always respond to demands of every season and time without the public cry of victims to always provide to cushion the effects of flood.

The state legislator who is committed to delivering on his campaign promises of infrastructure, economic developments and welfare of constituents has swiftly responded to the immediate needs of the people has made available for the six wards of Burutu North Constituency the following:

1 Three Hundred Thousand Naira (#300,000) to each ward.
2. Thirty Bags of Rice to each ward
3. Twenty Bags of Garri to each ward.
4. Ten cartons of Noodles (Indomie) to each ward.

While presenting the flood palliatives to the various community leaders, Hon. Asupa Forteta assured flood victims that the state government is aware of this predicament and would in the near future swing into action to salvage the situation.

Speaking further, he reiterated his 100% committed servitude of the mandate on which he was elected. He also charged leaders of the wards for fair distribution of the items to all victims of the ravaging flood and prayed God to protect all while the flood lasts its span.

Responding to the kind gesture, the Burutu Council Chairman, Rt. Hon. Godknows Angele as represented by the Vice Chairman, Chief Hon. Combolos Ikisah, appreciated the House of Assembly member for always rising to the occasion to alleviate the sufferings of the flood ravaged Constituency. He promised that the council is on top gear to providing relief materials and others to the flood victims across the local government.

Speaking also, Chief Julius Takeme, the Delta South Senatorial District Chairman commended Hon. Asupa Forteta for his magnimity in always meeting the desires of his constituents even at a time when our people are suffering from the ravaging flood.

Comrade Richard Ebibofa, Ayakoromo Community Chairman who spoke on behalf of the various communities chairmen described Hon. Asupa Peter Forteta as a pace-setter, noting that he promptly responds at every Christmas, Easter, Flood season, and on individual basis. He prayed God to crown his deliberate contributions to humanity in delivering on the campaign promises.

The wards that make up the Burutu North Constituency include in no particular order: Ayakoromo (Ngbilebiri 1), Kiagbodo (Ngbilebiri 2), Ogulagha, Ogbolubiri, Obotebe/ Burutu, and Eseimbiri (Okpokunou).
