Ijaw Movie Progress Association (DIMPA) is set to officially present and launch a seasonal film titled Kurakpo ! (Hard life) in Warri on the 6th of November  2022.

According to the Director of DIMPA, Prince Tarkumor who hinted The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide on the development shared more light on his journey in the entertainment industry.

Prince Tarkumor stated that the Movie will be launched in an anticipated big ceremony at the popular Platinum Event Centre, Ugbomro Junction, after DSC Roundabout, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, on Sunday 6th November 2022. Red carpet 3pm, main event 4pm.

While speaking on the thematic preoccupation of the movie Kurakpo (hard life), Tarkumor noted that the Movie is a dramatisation of the harsh realities of life. 

He stressed that hard life is not something that is new to Nigerians,  particularly the Ijaws, stressing that DIMPA under his watch will suggest ways in making life much more easier to the Ijaws via entertainment, noting that the Movie Kurakpo is a must watch. 

Prince explained that he has spent many years in the entertainment industry with a vision to dramatise and showcase the rich Ijaw cultural heritage via movie and music. 

He particularly invited well meaning Ijaws, friends and members of the general public to show the crew  love by attending and supporting the project  financially to enable them realise the dream of making the Ijaws proud in the entertainment industry. 

Meanwhile, Prince stated that DIMPA will provide an opportunity for Ijaw actors and actresses, adding that if other tribes can do it, the Ijaws can also do it.

Tarkumor had assured Ijaws, friends and members of the general public that the event is going to be colourful.

Nevertheless, Kurakpo was earlier scheduled for launching by the organisers on the 2nd of October but was later shifted to November 6th 2022.
