The meeting which was presided over by Amb. Chief Dr. Julius Takeme (JP) saw a lot of political leaders in Delta South that gallantly graced the meeting.

In his opening remark during the meeting, Dr. Julius Takeme, Chairman Delta South PDP noted that the meeting was called to prepare the party in Delta South as they go into the ward to ward campaign in Delta South on Monday 14th of November 2022.

“Today, everything about our primaries have come and gone, after the inauguration of the Delta State campaign organisation, we have called for this meeting to ensure that as we go for our ward to ward campaigns, we will make sure that we win in all the 87 wards in Delta South.

“We must make sure that we win, not ordinary winning but we have to win convincingly. We must all work together to sustain the dominance of PDP in Delta South. We must be united like this, one man cannot do it alone, we all need to work together.

“Delta South is the backbone and home base of PDP in Delta State.” Takeme added.

However, speaking further, the Delta South PDP Chairman particularly lauded His Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, former Governor of Delta State for playing host to the meeting, describing him as a true democrat and a rare leader, stressing that he appreciate everyone for massively attending the meeting despite the short notice.

Nevertheless, Takeme asserted that working aggressively to deliver the party come 2023 is a great task before all members of the party as the PDP vice Presidential candidate of the party is the Governor of the state and Delta must and should deliver the highest
votes.

On his part, former Governor Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan had while describing the meeting as a major reconciliatory political meeting in Delta South stated that everyone must now let go of their differences and work together as a family.
I
In his words: “PDP build some of us so whatever we have to do for the party, we must give back to the party.

“I see this meeting as a major reconcilliatory gathering or meeting for the PDP.  I want to say this to everyone here that power belong only to God. I know my family before I was made Governor of Delta State by God. I have also tasted power and it was God that did it. We must thank God that we have Okowa as the Vice Presidential candidate of our party at this critical time.
“We have no option than to support him and the PDP.  We must all rally round him to give him our maximum support. I was the leader of PDP in Delta State for 8 years. I am part of the Ibori political family and I will continue to be a member of the family. There must be crises in political settings but after such, settlement comes in.
“Since Okowa became the Vice Presidential candidate of our party, nobody has heard from us, I mean Ibori, myself and James Manager. We should all work together to  deliver the PDP come 2023.
“I know that some of us here are not sincere, I can read your minds. I have seen many things in politics.
“I believe that we stand a chance to benefit more if we deliver candidates of our party. I am old enough to know what is right and wrong. PDP is the way out, we have to forgive ourselves and move on.
“We have a Governorship candidate, deputy, senatorial and other PDP candidates, we need to work together to deliver them. Let us come together from our voting units. We need to deliver the party. There is no doubt that PDP is the party on ground in this state. We have to take charge.
“I am appealing that we have to let go of our differences and work together as a team. A lot has been going on, I don’t want to go into details but we must deliver our party. We must aggressively mobilise our people to vote. It is only with such that we can win elections.” Uduaghan stated.
