2023 Polls: Ogbe-Ijoh, Isaba APC Leaders Set To Receive PDP Decampees

All Progressives Congress (APC) ward leaders in Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, on Wednesday called on intending decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to feel free to join the party, informing that the membership of the party in the two wards has recently recorded astronomical increase.
In a joint statement issued in Warri on Wednesday, Febuary 15, 2023 and endorsed by the APC ward leaders in Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh, Engr. Jude Akpodubakaye (Isaba ward) Julius Kendabor (Isaba ward) Chief David Omare (Ogbe-Ijoh ward) and the two ward chairmen, Mr. Ambrose Bramor and Prince Ese Gbenebode explained that the party will officially announce when to receive the decampees from the PDP among others before the commencement of the general elections, adding that the doors of the party were still wide open to welcome as many as want to decampee to join it.
According to the ward leaders, the APC has continued to soar higher and higher in Warri South-West Local Government Area, while stabilizing itself at the grassroots, from the ward level to cover the entire Warri South-West with a view to building bridges across board and protecting the interest of members in view of the anticipated victory in the forthcoming general elections.
The leaders expressed great optimism that the recent astronomical increase of decampees from the other political parties, particularly the PDP in the area, was a clear indication that the people of Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh have since lost confidence in the ruling PDP in the state, just as they urged the people of Wàrri South West to embrace the APC which is prepared for true leadership, unlike the PDP that has disappointed them because of its insensitivity to the plight of the people of the area.
“APC in Isaba and Ogbe-Ijoh kingdoms want to ensure that our people do not continue to suffer in underdevelopment; hence, our readiness to demonstrate what we preach by ensuring that we change the narrative by presenting only credible candidates as our representatives at all levels, from the State House of Assembly, to the governorship and the National Assembly.
“The APC is generally considered to be a party that favours controlled market economic policies, poised to play a strong and active role in advancing the principles of good governance having a substantial number of its political leaders being politicians who subscribe to the social democratic political philosophy of Obafemi Awolowo and the socialist and anti-class views of Aminu Kano of blessed memories “, the statement maintained.
