Warri: A Delta State born development and environmental justice advocate Comrade (Chief) Mulade Sheriff, on Monday 20th, March 2023, congratulated Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevweri of the PDP for his victory as Governor-elect of Delta State in the March 18th 2023 governorship election.

Chief Mulade has, therefore, called on all contestants and candidates to accept the outcome of the governorship result because i strongly believe it reflects the wishes of Deltans and i equally call on other residents of the State to work with the governor-elect to achieve his MORE Agenda for Delta people. He described Rt. Hon. Oborevwori as a man of simplicity with grass-roots and community based knowledge for development.

Chief Mulade who is the Ibe- sorimowei of Gbaramatu Kingdom and a former PDP governorship aspirant, urged other contestants to accept the result of the election, and appealed to every Deltan and other residents of the State to support and cooperate with Oborevwori as the Governor of Delta State.

Chief Mulade, however, charged the Governor-elect to run an all-inclusive government in order to sustain the existing peace in the State towards attracting an enviable development to the State, irrespective of ethnic, political and or religious affiliations.

It is imperative to state that the elections as come and gone, now is the time to build bridges of reconciliation of all aggrieved members and contestants in the State, and to focus on good governance for a better Delta.

According to INEC, Sheriff Oborevwori of the PDP scored a total of 360,234 votes in 21 LGAs to beat his closest rival, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC, who scored 240,229 votes in 4 LGAs in the March 18th, 2023 governorship election.
