.….. Appeal to Oborevwori to prioritize riverine communities development, 60% appointment of youths in his cabinet

Warri ______The umbrella body covering ljaw intellectual youths and activists of Delta State under the aegis of Delta ljaw Comrade Community (DICC) has rejoiced and congratulated the Governor elect of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, his deputy, Sir. Monday Onyeme on their landslide victories at the March 18, 2023 gubernatorial election as well as the reception of Certificates of Returns from INEC at the State Capital, Asaba.

The group also congratulated the senator elect of Delta South Senatorial District, Hon. Joel Thomas Onowakpo, the member elect Burutu Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Julius Gbabojor Pondi as well as his Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency counterpart, Hon. Nicholas Mutu on their triumphant well deserved election victories at the polls on February 25th 2023 National Assembly elections.

Others in the congratulory message include; the member elect Burutu North State House of Assembly Constituency, Amb.Dr. Comr. Anthony Ebitonmo Alapala, Hon. (Chief) Peres Oloye of Burutu South Constituency, Hon. (Engr.) Oboro Preyor of Bomadi State Constituency, Hon. Emmanuel Sinebe of Patani State Constituency and Hon. Dennis Emomotimi Guwor of Warri South-West State House of Assembly Constituency on their well deserved victories at the polls.

In a statement released at Warri on Sunday and signed by the President General of Delta ljaw Comrade Community, Amb. Princewill Binebai expressed confidence on Sheriff/Onyeme joint ticket, saying the duo with their wealths of experience coupled with their impeccable leadership track records over the years will attend to the expectations and needs of Deltans when they must have taken over government come May 29, 2023.

He however, called on the incoming Oborevwori new administration to prioritize Delta ljaw riverine communities development seriously as well as give 60% appointment of youths into his cabinet, stressing that it was youths that voted massively and delivered him in the just concluded elections.

While celebrating Hon. Amb. Alapala Ebitonmo on his election Victory, the Comrade Community acknowledge his enomours contribution to the youth body activities over the years, noting that the people of Burutu North Constituency are in a safe hand in terms of effective representation under Alapala.

Amb. Binebai in general, appealed to the incoming elected Ijaw representatives to try as possible use their exalted offices to facilitate infrastructural development to their various constituencies in the areas of road network, education, power, health Care, youths development and human capital development (empowerment) programmes to the grassroot, the statement added.
