Chairman of the Governor Douye Diri Believers Organisation, High Chief Promise Lawuru, popularly known as “Ozigizaga ” of the universe has described the death of late Pa. A. J . M Diri, father of the Governor of Bayelsa State as a huge loss to Ijaw nation. The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide can report.

The Governor Douye Diri Believers Chairman stated that Ijaw nation have truly lost a great father, stressing that his wealth of experience will be greatly missed.

Chief Promise Lawuru made the remark recently at Sampou in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State during the burial ceremony of late Pa A. J.M Diri who died at the age of 88 years.

However, Ozigizaga who led a powerful delegation to Sampou to contribute his quota in giving the Governor’s father a befitting burial noted that he is proud to be an Ijaw man, stressing that His Excellency, the Governor of Bayelsa State and the entire Diri family should take heart as it is the Lord Almighty that giveth and also taketh.

Nevertheless, Chief Promise Lawuru, the renowned Niger Delta philanthropist had vowed that as Chairman of Governor Douye Diri Believers, he will never renege in his quest to support the programmes, policies and activities of the Governor, adding that Governor Douye Diri is a blessing to Ijaw nation.

Speaking further, the young Niger Delta philanthropist had expressed joy on the great personalities across Nigeria that had come to grace the burial ceremony of late Pa Diri, noting that Governor Douye Diri have truly played his card very well.

“It is quite unfortunate that our daddy is leaving at a time his services are needed most. However, we take solace to the fact that it is God that giveth and also taketh.

“We will forever remain indebted to you as you have left behind children that will carry on with your shining legacies. ” Lawuru added.

Meanwhile, Chief Promise particularly described Governor Douye Diri as one of the best thing that has happened to Bayelsa State and the entire Ijaw nation, stating that he is very proud of him.
