Foremost Ijaw leader and revered activist, Super Comr. Joseph Evah has commended Ijaw youths in Western Zone for their massive turn out on Tuesday 16th of May 2023 in honour of late Jasper Adaka Boro.

The renowned Niger Delta activist cum philanthropist, Comr. Evah particularly described the Dr. Doubra Collins Okotete’s leadership of IYC in Western as purposeful and productive.

This was contained in a statement personally signed and issued to newsmen in Lagos yesterday by Super Comr. Joseph Evah, a copy of which was sent to The Liberator Newspapers Worldwide.

However, it would be recalled that on Monday the 15th of May 2023, Comr. Joseph Evah had called on Ijaw sons and daughters in Western Zone to turn out in their numbers to celebrate late Maj. Jasper Adaka Boro.

“Isaac Jasper Boro stood for something that has benefited the entire Niger Delta and Nigeria at large, therefore, our youths should also stand out for something as we mark the day always. “ Evah added

He also called on Ijaw Youths to also mark days of Ijaw living heroes, stressing that celebrating with the living will encourage and also make them have a sense of belonging.

Meanwhile, The Liberator Newspaper can report that the 2023 edition of Boro Day is the 55th remembrance.

Boro died May 16th 1968.
