The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide on Friday joined other Ijaw leaders to lay to rest a founding member of council, Late Sunny Clark at his hometown, Enekorogha community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide was represented by Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill, Spokesman of council, Comr. Fani Amatoru, Treasurer, Sunday Opuede, Zadabiri Clan Chairman with the host of other critical stakeholders of council.

In his goodwill message on behalf of council, endorsed by the President of IYC Worldwide, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri, Spokesman Binebai Yerin Princewill had appreciated the people of Enekorogha for their peaceful disposition.

Speaking further, the IYC Spokesman had brought greetings from President Jonathan Lokpobiri, stressing that he would have personally attended the burial with other members of NEC but due to the central Zone election, he could not make it, hence the delegation led by Amb. Binebai Yerin Princewill.

While appreciating the leadership of Meinbutu, the burial Committee led by Poweide Igbele, Binebai described the death of Sunny Clark as unfortunate.

He noted that Sunny Clark is dying at a time the Ijaw nation needed his services most, stressing that until his death, he was an hero and a founding member of council.

Nevertheless, Binebai advocated that in due time, council shall make moves to immortalise the likes of Sunny Clark that contributed a lot towards the growth and development of council and Ijaw nation in general, adding that he may have died but his legacies will live on.

It would be recalled that Sunny Clark is the pioneer Spokesman of Meinbutus, a reversed group that also formed the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide in 1998.
