King Ateke Reaffirm Support For Jonathan Lokpobiri’s Presidency

Revered Niger Delta leading paramount ruler, His Royal Majesty, King Dr. Ateke Tom, the Pere of Okochiri Kingdom in Rivers State has reaffirmed his support for the Jonathan Lokpobiri led 9th NEC of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC ) Worldwide.

The paramount ruler made this known via a publication he made on his Facebook page earlier today.

I commend and fully support Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr as the President of Ijaw Youth Council who came for my fatherly blessings before the elections and also returned back to say thank you after the elections as President with his entire Exco, clan and zonal chairmen with other stakeholders.

In his thank you visit, I commended his humility and humble disposition and his heart of gratitude with his passion that clearly defines his vision for the new IYC we’ve all desired as leaders.

The unity and growth of our youths and our people is very paramount to us, therefore we’ll not encourage division and divisive tendencies from any fraction amongst our youths that will divide our common front in a time like this.

I have also advised the other group that came visiting for the first time to go and work with Jonathan Lokpobiri as the IYC President we all know and supporting for the good, unity and peace of Ijaw Nation and not to create division that will take us backward again as a people.

“There’s no better alternative to peaceful coexistence amongst a people”.
