Tinubu To Share N185Billion Palliative To States, Capital Territory To Address Impact Of Subsidy Removal

Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum, who announced the package in Abuja on Thursday shortly after the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, said each state will receive N5 billion.
To cushion the economic hardship facing Nigerians as a result of fuel subsidy removal, the Nigerian government says it will share N185 billion to 36 states and the federal capital territory (FCT) as palliative.
Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum, who announced the package in Abuja on Thursday shortly after the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting, said each state will receive N5 billion.
The meeting was chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The council is made up of governors of the 36 states, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other officials.
