South-South Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Amb. John Dekawei has congratulated His Excellency, Bola Tinubu, President Federal Republic of Nigeria on his court judgement.

Nigeria’s presidential election tribunal ruled on Wednesday that Nigeria’s main opposition parties failed to prove claims of electoral malpractice against the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in February’s disputed elections.

“This petition is hereby declared unmeritorious,” one of the judges said, as the tribunal rejected the opposition challenge to Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s win in the presidential election.”

Amb. John Dekawei while reacting to the development noted that President Bola Tinubu is ordained to rule Nigeria as President, adding that any plan or gang up against him will surely fail.

He particularly called on opposition elements to embrace the reality that Tinubu won the February 2023 Presidential election, stressing that there is no need to distract the positive plans Tinubu has for the development of Nigeria.

However, Amb. John Dekawei had hailed Nigeria’s judiciary, describing the judgment as the best and a true reflection of the will of Nigerians.

Speaking further, John Dekawei had asserted that with the latest tribunal judgment, the judiciary has shown that it is truly the last hope of the people.

It would be recalled that as an APC Chieftain in South-South Nigeria, Dekawei has always supported the policies and programmes of Tinubu. He was one of the first persons in Niger Delta to have openly supported Tinubu and has followed up till this moment as a Niger Delta social crusader.
