Empowering Ijaw Women Will Be Key During My Reign – Iyaye

Reigning woman leader of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Miss Miracle Iyaye has stated that she will continue to prioritise the empowerment of Ijaw girls during her reign as woman leader of council.
The radiating woman leader of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide, Miracle Iyaye made the remark recently in Yenagoa while reacting to the opening of her office annex in Portharcout, Rivers state.
However, Iyaye asserted that the opening of her office is a fulfilment of her campaign promise to the Ijaw women and Ijaw nation in general that during her reign as woman leader of council, she will be open and accessible to her women.
Speaking further, Miracle had assured the Ijaw women that in line with the agenda of the 9th President of council, Sir Jonathan Lokpobiri Snr, she will put in her best in prioritising the unity of Ijaw nation together with other members of the 9th NEC as well as critical stakeholders of council.
According to her, as mother of council, she will use her office to negotiate a better deal for the Ijaw women, stressing that better days are here for the women.
Nevertheless, the IYC national woman leader had promised to mobilize Ijaw women to support the programmes and activities of the 9th NEC.
Iyaye said during her reign as national woman leader of council, IYC will witness more women participation in council, stressing that Ijaw women are naturally blessed with a lot of potentials.
Meanwhile, Miracle had described Jonathan Lokpobiri as a blessing to Ijaw nation, stressing that as a woman leader, she will continue to give him the needed support for him to succeed.
