Governnor Douye Diri has been declared as the choice of the masses in this Saturday, November 11, gubernatorial polls in Bayelsa state.

A frontline non-governmental organisation (NGO), Concerned Bayelsans For Good Governance made the declaration during a rally tagged Grassroot Movement For The Re-election of DIRI/LAW to canvass for more voters for the Governor.

The group which took campaigns to the door steps of the electorate at Peretoru town, weekend, met a mammoth crowd that cut across party affiliations, hailing the incumbent governor as the only option that can genuinely guarantee continuity of prosperity for all Bayelsans.

Coordinator, Bayelsa Central, Abel Ebifemowei (Osuwo) and Coordinator Bayelsa East Hon. Ebi Ben Okolo, pointed out that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has consistently delivered on its campaign promises and has the experience and knowledge required to lead Bayelsa into a brighter future.

He added that voting for Gov. Diri/Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor will mean a sure ticket for better living.

Hon. Alex Jenakumo, Bayelsa West Coordinator and Hon.. Charity Kens Godwin – Deputy Coordinator of
the Grassroot Movement, appealed to all the electorates to make their promises good by coming out enmass come Saturday, to cast their votes.

Also speaking, Hon. George Turner, Deputy Co-ordinator, Bayelsa East; Chief Natus Zebakame, Deputy Coordinator, Bayelsa Central as well as other community leaders remarked that Senator Diri first tenure is one good turn that truly deserves another.

The teaming supporters in their various endorsement statements affirmed that Governor Douye Diri has proven his mettle, as God sent to stand in the gap for the People of Bayelsa in this era.
“Bayelsa has never had it so good until Douye Diri the Miracle Governor came on board with unquantifiable goodwill for the people of Bayelsa State,” one of the supporters said

Women leaders of various group and a good number of youth organizations in their separate speeches affirmed that Diri’s reelection is “a done deal and a matter already settled”.

They thanked the members of the group for ensuring continuity in Government House, Yenagoa.
