IYC Congratulates Governor Diri On His Re-election
On behalf of the entire Ijaw Youths Worldwide, we want to formally congratulate the Governor general of Ijaw Nation, His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri as a council on his re-election victory.
Haven keenly followed the election activities in the just concluded Bayelsa State Governorship election with all sense of neutrality as a council, the IYC Worldwide has hailed Bayelsans for turning out in their numbers to vote for their various candidates.
As a council, we want to commend security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission for the election.
IYC is hopeful that the re-election of our father and leader, His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri as Governor of Bayelsa State for the second time will bring more development to our dear State.
Bayelsa is the only Ijaw exclusively owned State hence we must move on as brothers and sisters after the election. It is our firm belief that our dear Governor will continue to operate an open door policy by accommodating everyone for the rapid development of Bayelsa State.
IYC will gladly be available and participate to promote programmes and policies of the Government that will add value to the Ijaw call for development.
However, we want to reiterate that in achieving the Bayelsa of our dream, all hands must be on deck for its development. Once again, congratulations to your Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri, the Governor general of Ijaw Nation.
